About

Our Education Mentoring Program mission is to create a positive education and financial culture that empowers our students to make informed education and financial choices. The program will support students and families from low- and moderate-income backgrounds.

A support team of “Mentors” from Contributing Members of the Community, Lovejoy High School Teachers, Lovejoy High School Seniors, Members from Shiloh of Lovejoy United Methodist Church, The Village Tutorial, and the Consortium for Pre-College Education Program in Greater Georgia will promote financial events and facilitate high school students’ admission to college.

The mentors are responsible for assisting each mentee with creating a Financial Management Plan and Education Plan.  In addition, they will conduct a series of workshops on topics such as investments, budgeting, credit building, starting a business, personal improvement, college financing options, and preparing for college enrollment.

We all need someone who inspires us to

do better than we know.
